Ulrich Mott, an ambitious social climber, marries a wealthy widow in Washington D.C. in order to mix with powerful political players. Based on the true story of Albrecht Muth, a 46-year-old con man who beat and strangled his 91-year-old wife, socialite Viola Herms Drath, to death in their Georgetown rowhouse in 2011. Muth was later sentenced to 50 years in prison for the crime.
